Let's CREATE!

Lacking of creativity nowadays has became one of the most serious problem for teenagers especially Chinese teenagers. Although we always say that we wanna be a creative person, what does creativity mean?

Creativity – the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, method, interpretations, etc; originality, progressiveness, or imagination. Creativity refers to the phenomenon whereby a person creates something knew that has some kind of value(baidu.com). According to these explanations, I begin to realize what does creativity mean.

In the past, I've read a lot of creative writing, such as poems, biographies and novels. To make the creative writing engaging, one of the most important thing is to find an interesting topic. As for me, I am interested in writings about love, science and school life while I hardly ever read things about politics and war. The topic we choose needs to be fashional and new, it cannot be one that everyone writes about. Beside topic, the writing tittle is also playing a significant roll in the writing. Writing titles, like headlines, should wet a potential reader's appetite and make them want to read the entire piece. It piques a reader’s curiosity and tells them a little bit about what the story holds(baidu.com). In my opinion, the title is usually a clue of the reading. It must be concise and easy to understand meanwhile including the  theme. Then, we should pay attention to the content. The plot cannot be flat and direct. We words should be variable and there must be adjectives, adverbs and verbs which emphasize the theme. 

As for my creative writing this week, I have done a lot of work to make it engaging and interesting. Firstly, I have a title of my favorite song to be the title of my writing. The title contains the theme, the character and is also engaging. It is not an original and boring title at all. Second, I have chosen a topic that is really popular these days, courage and guardianship. This kind of topics are usually educatial. Also, the story of the character is not well-off. Our character could not be understood by the people she wanted to protect. This is interesting and is the most excited part of the story. It can drag readers into a deep thinking. Furthermore, I like my ending part most. Just like a lot of romantic stories, the characters did die, but forever lived in people's mind.

All in all, I hope that I can improve my creativity so that I can write better articles and stories. Besides, grammar is also really important and I need to work on it in the future.
